Works just fine for me - and I used orbit to download the very same. Make certain their is only one semicolon between filetypes. You double clicked Nullsoft DirectShow Decoder v1.08, opening a small windows of filetypes, and you added (without quotes) "RA RM RMVB". You did a re-install, and you now have Nullsoft DirectShow Decoder v1.08 under preferences > plus-ins> input. Ok lets clarify so I fully understand your end. I guess i could get it off some site myself, but then how do i get winamp to pull it IN? never quite understood plug-ins. How do i swap them? i tried "uninstall plug ins" with the intent of then clicking "get plugins", but the latter doesn't OFFER the one you're talking abt! or much of ANYTHING related to decoding. and, depending what i do, sometimes winamp SHUTS DOWN, and up pops pinch-hitter RA again!įwiw, my input doesn't read "Nullsoft DirectShow Decoder v1.08", it reads but i get the 1-2 sec "bleep" effect again. If i open winamp by hand first, then load file from WITHIN, well, ok, it at least tries. Didn't work for me, and, in fact, winamp does everything POSSIBLE to avoid opening these files! if i rt-click "open with." and select winamp, up pops RealAudio! took me a while to figure out WHY, but it seems to be that winamp took a PASS, and then RealAudio took over as next in line.
